Maroc Telecom is Morocco's No. 1 telecommunications operator. Net sales (including intra-group) break down by activity as follows:
- mobile telephony (71.4%): 18.2 million customers in Morocco at the end of 2013, distributed between customers with prepaid cards (16.8 million) and with post-paid subscriptions (1.4 million). At the end of 2013, the group owned 12,020 base stations;
- fixed telephony and Internet (28.6%): fixed telephony services (1.4 million lines installed in Morocco as of the end of 2013), interconnection services, data transmission, and Internet access (837,000 subscribers). At the end of 2013, the network had a total of 35,200 km of urban fiberoptic and intercity fiberoptic cables.
Products and services are marketed through a network of 386 owned agencies, more than 72,000 group-approved points of sale (tobacconists, local shops, etc.) and independent distribution channels.Net sales break down geographically as follows: Morocco (73.1%), Mali (9.1%), Burkina Faso (7.6%), Gabon (5.1%) and Mauritania (5.1%).
